Over the years I have spent a lot of time with Physios, Chiropractors and Osteopaths, being treated for a number musculoskeletal issues. Some were due to road traffic accidents, some sports related, and some simply due to long hours slouched over a keyboard. This means I can often relate to the problems I see in clinic, allowing me to understand the pain and difficulties that you may be faced with.
After 13 years working within the IT industry, I embarked on an intense 5 year part time degree course to become an osteopath. Before being allowed to practice as an Osteopath, further exams must be passed to become eligible for mandatory registration with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). GOsC oversee and control the educational requirements and ongoing training required to register and continue to treat with the title of Osteopath.
I am glad to say that Osteopathy is everything I hoped it would be and more. Nothing is more satisfying than being able to help those people who have almost given up hope of ever feeling better. I hope that as we work together, you will be able to share in my passion for Osteopathy. It’s a great profession that helps so many people on a daily basis. I certainly feel that the benefits of Osteopathic treatment aren’t as widely recognised in the UK as they should be, so I hope in time you will join me in singing its praises!
